Privacy

Short version: this book collects almost nothing. What you write stays on your device. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies.

1. What you write stays with you

Your quiz answers, reflections, reading position, settings and Thinking Journal are saved in your browser's local storage, on the device you're using. They are never sent to the author, to GinWorks or to anyone else. There is no server that receives them.

Because it's stored in your browser, clearing your browsing data, using private browsing, or switching to another browser or device means it won't be there. Use Backup in the book's menu to download a copy as a file, and Restore to load it back. That backup file is yours; keep it somewhere safe, as it contains everything you wrote.

2. Counting visits

The site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits — for example, how many people opened the book and from which country. Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics “does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics” and does not “fingerprint” individuals. It is not used to identify you and no advertising cookies are set. It never sees what you type in the book.

3. Hosting

The book is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.

4. If you contact the author

If you message on WhatsApp or by email, whatever you choose to send is used only to reply to you. It isn't sold, shared for marketing or added to any list. Ask and it will be deleted.

5. No third parties

Apart from Cloudflare's hosting and visit counting, the book loads nothing from other companies — no ad networks, no social media widgets, no external fonts. The typefaces are served from this site.

6. About the content

This book is for learning. It isn't medical, legal or financial advice. Examples are simplified to teach an idea, and research moves on. Sources are listed at the end of each chapter. If you find an error, please say so — corrections are welcome.

7. Children

The book is suitable for general readers, including students. It doesn't ask for or collect personal information from anyone.
